Congratulations to web maestro Bud Parr and his wife Lynn on the birth of their twins Seamus and Wyatt!
Yesterday I dropped off our new DVD for Dance Films Association and even stuck around to evaluate a few entries for their upcoming festival. You can too! Deirdre's making an offer that's hard to refuse:
Please join us for the pre-screening of the entries for the 36th annual Dance on Camera Festival co-sponsored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
We have two sessions this Saturday, September 29: 10-1 and 2-5 at Dance NYC, 63 Greene Street.
If you can give us 3 hours of your time, we will give you a complimentary membership to Dance Films Association.

News from post-production assistant Pilar Rau, a graduate of NYU:
I'm living in Peru now. I've been studying Quechua. I will be here for at least another year doing my dissertation research. And I am working on a documentary with another anthropologist about a struggle between a group of peasant villages and a hydro-electric plant that will reroute the river they need for their agricultural way of life...
I've plugged Bruce Markow before -- a phenomenal singer-songwriter whose song "Estamos muy contentos" graces the closing credits of SA (on top of his work as associate producer).
Check out "Brucito's" upcoming concert appearances.
What I haven't mentioned before is that Bruce is also an amazing holistic bodyworker/massage therapist (that's how I met him 15 years ago, as a client). So I'm equally unabashed about promoting his massage therapy services. He's easily accessible on Manhattan's Upper West Side, reachable by email or -- for fastest response -- (212) 721-8640.
Guest DJs, spectacular performances, classes, special prizes...More info at Dance Tango.
