Help the Lions Club Run a Medical/Dental Clinic in Peru

You've read about Soy Andina supporter Leda Duif and her grandmother before. Now Leda writes again about Grandma and her work in Arequipa:
--------------------
My grandma Hilda de Borja is on the board (and former president) of The Lion's Club of Arequipa. The club work their butts off serving the community. They've been operating a health clinic since 1994 and are in great demand -- for example, they just completed 1,038 cataract operations for the year, at no charge.

Grandma just told me they've been given another “policlinico” to start a second clinic. To open it, they need $2,000 for basic equipment and supplies.

They have received in-kind contributions from the USA before, but it all gets stuck in customs and costs too much to get out...this is the big problem.
--------------------
To help support the new clinic, we've revised our online donation page to enable donors to allocate part of their gift to the Lion's Club dental clinic. You can also donate directly to the project on Leda's new website.

I've long been wanting to establish a more firm link with a Peruvian-based community project. "Soy Andina" can make a difference. This is a start.
